Our standard sweep service includes a check of the appliance, thorough cleaning, smoke draw testing, and issuing a certificate. This ensures that your fireplace or log burner is functioning properly and meets the necessary safety standards. Bird / Animal Removal - from £100.00 Birds and animals that have fallen down chimneys can be safely removed. However, it is important to note that nests are only removed from chimneys outside the period of February to July, which is the nesting season. There are certain circumstances where nests can be removed if they pose a threat to human health. CCTV Chimney Inspection £199.00 We conduct comprehensive CCTV chimney inspections to assess the structural integrity and identify the exact cause of damage and blockage. My formal journey into the world of chimneys began with my HETAS training, establishing myself as a certified and approved Chimney Sweep. Beyond the hearth, my exploration of the woodlands led me to become City & Guilds Chainsaw and Tree Felling qualified, a reflection of my commitment to understanding the entire life cycle of sustainable heating sources. In 2012, whilst living in the North East, I co-founded gdlogs.co.uk, a venture dedicated to providing quality logs with an emphasis on sustainability. This endeavour reflected my belief in the responsible sourcing of quality firewood, ensuring that customers could access wood fuel that was fit for the job. Following University, my career journey took an additional turn into the realm of marketing, where I established myself as an Award-Winning Direct Marketing Professional. Over the span of two decades, I crafted successful campaigns for notable brands including TUI, Auto Trader, and Sue Ryder. My main interest and focus remains within the solid fuel industry.
