I am a 'One man band' Surrey based carpet fitter working (On different days of the week) throughout the Surrey districts of Runnymede, Woking, Elmbridge, Guildford, Waverly, Mole valley, Epsom and Ewell, Tandridge, Reigate and Banstead, Spelthorne and Surrey Heath. I began my apprenticeship as a carpet fitter working with my father in the family carpet business when I left school in 1973 and have continued to service to service the domestic carpet fitting market ever since. I do not sell or supply carpets at all. Instead I offer an independent labour only carpet fitting / carpet laying and carpet repair service to the residents of Surrey who already have their own carpet, whether new or used and who need a carpet fitter to help them with the fitting or repairing of it. Rather than advertising, most of my work comes from recommendations and from repeat customers, many of whom had their carpets fitted by me for the first time over 25 years ago. I do therefore have to make sure that every customer I have is happy with my carpet fitting / carpet repair work. I achieve this by working to the highest standards and adhering to traditional values of quality and service. RE-LAYING EXISTING CARPETS About 70% of my work is in re-fitting and repairing carpets that have already been fitted for some time and need attention from a carpet fitter for one reason or another. Maybe you simply want to have a carpet fitted back to where it came from after taking it up for building or decorating works. CARPET REPAIRS Common carpet repairs would include replacing burns, patches, worn areas and stains etc. Replacing carpet on worn stair treads for example is a common request. Perhaps your fitted carpets have become loose or ‘wavy’ over time and need to be stretched. CARPET CLEANING I also clean carpets, so if you are having an existing carpet stretched, re-fitted or repaired then perhaps this would be ideal time to consider having it cleaned.
